KRVN is the flagship station for the Nebraska Rural Radio Association owned by over 4000 farmers and ranchers.

"It went on the air in 1952 to serve agriculture and today there are a total of 6 stations in the group: KRVN-AM / KRVN-FM, KNEB-AM / KNEB-FM, and KTIC-AM / KTIC-FM all ag stations here in Nebraska. Here at KRVN we have 3 control rooms that are using Wheatstone AudioArts R-55 consoles. Originally we built a new control room for our FM installing the first R-55. We liked it so well that 2 years later we have installed 2 more R-55s in our AM Master Control room and AM Production room. The installation of these consoles were a breeze with the cabling already pre-made. We use 66 punch blocks and terminate in wall cabinets.

We are quite happy with the ease of install, the ease of operation and most of all the quality of the product. We have four R-55 consoles at our other stations and plan on purchasing more in the future. Engineers involved in the installation: Mark Voris, Ray Bitner, Jim Liffrig, and Rod Zeigler." -Commentary courtesy of Mark Voris
