When I turn a mic channel on or off the ON and OFF button lights change to reflect this, but on line channels the buttons don't light. Why is that?	The line inputs of the R-16 (and the earlier R-10) do not have channel on/off logic. The switch contacts are brought out to provide start and stop functions to external machines, and the switch LED contacts are also brought out so that an external machine can light the buttons. Please note that the button LEDs are not normally loaded from the factory.

How do I hook up a phone to handle callers?	The R-16 (and the earlier R-10) do not have dedicated phone caller inputs. If you need to handle callers with these console, please see our white paper Making The Connection (pdf).
